You will have four options shown on the Apps and Data screen. Then your phone will start setting up your Apple ID. For this, tap on the Other Options link that shows up on the Transfer Data screen. If you do not use iOS 12.4 or higher on both of your phones you will have to restore the backup of your current phone. You may need to wait a while depending on how many apps you have on the phone before the apps become ready for you to use. Now your new iPhone will start setting up your apps, icons, folders, and all the other data. After finishing the process, the old phone will show that the transfer is complete. Then both the devices will show that the data is being transferred. You can enter the password of your old phone on the new device if required. Then your old phone tells you to finish the process on the new phone. Just take your old phone and scan the pattern. Now, on your new iPhone, a swirling blue pattern is displayed while waiting. Then just confirm your Apple ID and continue on your current phone. At this moment, there will be a message saying Set Up New iPhone on your iPhone, asking if you would want to use your Apple ID to set up your new iPhone. Then press the Home button on the Hello screen of your iPhone to display the Quick Start screen. Place both your iPhones next to each other and keep them connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Now you just have to wait for the backup to complete. Under the Backups section, you can select either iCloud or This Computer, then just click on Back Up Now. Here, click on the iPhone icon and view the summary page. If you are running a Windows device, open iTunes, as the Mac users might turn to Finder. But, you can have the backup as a precaution, for that you just have to connect your current phone to the computer. If your OS is updated on both devices you don’t need to back up your data for QuickStart. On iOS 12.4 or higher you can transfer the data wirelessly or through a wired connection. All you have to do is set up the screens for Face ID, Siri, and Apple Pay, apart from that QuickStart will do the rest. You just have to point your new phone to the old one, and all of the core settings will transfer immediately. Quick Start is a feature that will set up your iPhone automatically. You don’t need to go through the old-school way of backing up your data, reconfiguring your settings, and then migrating the data to your new phone. Apple’s Quick Start feature offers a very easy way to set up your new iPhone. But then you have to keep setting up your new phone, isn’t it? \ IPhone keeps coming up with new and better models and you are always enticed to keep up.
